To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
When you read this book you will disappear and feel as though you are in a different place entirely.  The whole story is told from a child's point of view, not that an adult would look at everything that happened in this story! From sitting in a little house it being chased by a crazy guy this book has it all! I love this book so much!!

Girls and Guys will enjoy this book as much as I did, it may be a little advanced for some but I enjoyed it so you might too! Suggested age 14+

ABSOLUTELY NORMAL CHAOS by Sharon Creech
Mary Lou Finney is assigned to write in a journal over the summer.  She is not at all excited about it either, but when her cousin Carl Ray comes to stay with the family.  Everything starts as boring but quickly turns into a roller coaster ride of a summer.  From trying to figure out what's going to happen with the ring to her boy-crazy best friend.  When the school assignment suddenly takes up two instead of one, she realizes that she doesn't want her teacher to actually read them because of what she wrote.

I would recommend this book for anyone who likes realistic fiction and some adventure. Or if you just want to try something new.

NANCY DREW by Carolyn Keene
Join Nancy Drew as she solves mysteries.  You will go along with her on all of her adventures as she meets lots of different people, some good, some bad.  There are more than 100 different books all with something different in them! There are so many I can't give you a review on any certain one without telling you them all.  It's a book you will not want to put down! I have read them also and couldn't put the book down until I knew she was safe (which was                       hardly ever).

I would recommend these books to anyone who likes mystery and adventure stories, or if you are just looking for something new and fast paced this is the book for you.

UGLIES by Scott Westerfield

When for 15 years and 11 months Tally has been waiting for the day that she will turn 16 so she can get the operation.  But when she finds out what the operation does to you she has to make a tough choice.  The interesting thing about the book is that it is set in a future world where everybody is made to look the same once they turn 16, so the book makes you think about what it means to be pretty and what it takes to be different.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books with cliff hangers and a great adventure.  Girls and guys will like this book.
